I'm very impressed by the new look of the website.

I had connection problems yesterday for some reason. There would have been 3 lays with only one of them winning at 1/2f. Clinical managed to win for Sir Mark Prescott the other night, usually his horses tend to need the run but this looks an above average type.

No lays today but one big race bet.

Newb 2-15 High Standing

We have one lay tonight. Of the three selections yesterday only Bay Of Fires managed to win at 2/5f so a small profit again.

Sir Mark Prescott first time out horse who might find Istishaara a bit of a handful especially as John Dunlop has won the last two runnings of this race.

The newspaper nap lays are doing well at the moment and I'll keep a record for the next week or so.

There were no selections yesterday but we're back today.

I'm also looking into laying certain nap tipsters but I need more research at the moment. So far the results are encouraging but it's early days yet.

Sorry about no blog yesterday but my girlfriend's car had to be taken in for repairs. I managed to get the selections done but much too late.

I've decided to not both with the Course & Distance method anymore because there's no real profitable angle to be made in any aspect. 11.7% of Course & Distance winners do win again on the flat compared with 14.3% on the jumps. I tried many angles but it just wasn't going to work whatever I tried.

Not much in the way of success yesetrday apart from the lays.

Course & Distance Method:

Tillietudlem was the only winner at 4/6f but we had a couple of placed ones with Lord Of The Stars 2nd at 8/1 and Thoughtsofstardom 3rd at 8/1.

It might be worth tweaking the system a bit. I have noticed how many horses get placed with a few of them at decent prices. The win percentage is much too low so all future selections will only be backed at Place odds ...

I'm back after a three day break and at least have a new CV to impress future employers.

Two seconds and a third from four selections on Sunday was the tale of the day with Benmadigan 2nd at 5/1 and Patavium Prince also 2nd at 5/1.

Course & Distance Method:

Yesterday not a great day for the Course & Distance winning selections with only Triple Aspect at 15/8f (3.05 BPSP) and Barshiba 7/2 (4.5 BFSP) both getting their head in front. Some good placed horses though with Dunn'o 3rd at 10/1 (BP pl 3.77), Fontley 2nd 15/2 (2.44), Micky Mac 3rd at 14/1 (BF pl 5.6) and Sri Putra who came 2nd in the Coral Eclipse at a huge 33/1 (BF pl 10.27).

2 out of 8 yesterday as Dispol Diva was a non-runner last night at Beverley. Stotsfold won at 9/2 (BFSP 7.41) and Verdant also won at 5/6f (BFSP 1.87) with Australia Day 2nd 5/1 and also Outrageous Request 2nd at 9/2.

I'm sorry there were no selections yesterday but I was job hunting and was having a tough time getting through the application forms.

Of the 9 selections only Gap Princess won at 7/2 jf (5.77 BFSP), Occassionally Yours was 2nd at 6/1, Malcheek was 3rd at 17/2 and Good Harvest was 2nd at 5/1. Yesterday would have been different with 11 selections and 2 winners which were Billy Magern at 2/1jf (2.99 BFSP) ...

Both lays yesterday lost which was excellent news. Bitter Fortune was 2nd at 5/2 and Smarty Sam 6th at 3/1.

I've modified the Course & Distance criteria and we'll see if there's any improvement.
