The first new racecourse in Britain for 75 years, opened in 2006 This all weather course has an eight and a half furlong polytrack circuit with sweeping and slightly cambered bends,that will allow for year round racing. Great Leighs racecourse is approximately 5 miles north of Chelmsford.33 miles from London via the A12 and A131 and is 39 miles from Newmarket.
